For your home-brew. This 1.5L clip top preserve jar is the essential vessel for your Primary Ferment (F1).
Whether you are starting your first batch of water kefir or preserving seasonal vegetables, this jar is a practical, long-lasting addition to a nourishing plastic-free kitchen.
Ideal Size: This jar is ideal for a standard 1-litre batch of water kefir, the 1.5L volume provides the necessary headspace. This extra room allows for natural gas expansion and prevents overflows during active fermentation.
Multi Use: Use it "open" without the lid with a cloth for kefir, kombucha and ginger beer, or "closed" for traditional pickling, preserving or storing sugar and dry ingredients for your kefir infusions.
Safety Note: For fermenting kefir always use it " open" with a cloth on top, do not seal the jar as it needs air and space for CO2 to escape during fermentation.
How to use
Work into a lather with warm water and use on face and body. Rest the bar on a draining soap dish and let it dry between uses so it lasts longer.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Our kefir soaps are gentle enough for all skin types. If your skin is very sensitive, start with the Unscented bar: it has no essential oils at all.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, every bar is suitable for face and body. Avoid contact with eyes, and if irritation occurs, stop using it.
Why kefir in a soap?
Water kefir naturally contains gluconic and lactic acids, which act as a gentle exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and leave skin feeling smooth and refreshed. We use our own fig-infused kefir in every bar.
Are the soaps vegan and palm-oil free?
Yes. Every bar is vegan and palm-oil free, made on an olive oil base with shea butter, coconut and castor oils.
How do I make my bar last?
Keep it on a draining soap dish out of the stream of water, and let it dry fully between uses.
Why does my bar look slightly different?
Each bar is handmade and hand-cut in Devon, so shape, colour and weight vary a little from bar to bar.
